Located in beautiful Elberton, Georgia we are seeking a Finance Manager in the manufacturing industry responsible for overseeing financial operations across multiple plants in Georgia, Alabama, and Michigan.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and continually monitor weekly cash forecasting reports to ensure optimal cash balances.
Approve cash disbursements, prioritizing timely payments to vendors and meeting cash objectives.
Maintain the accuracy of all financial ledgers, record-keeping systems, and monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the company's planning processes, offering analytical support for fixed expenses and balance sheet considerations.
Conduct in-depth analysis of the company's cash flow, revenue receipts, and expenses to identify areas of improvement.
Oversee and be responsible for preparing and approving all ACH, wire transfers, and check processes, as well as internal financial statements as required.
Ensure the timely closure of monthly financials, meeting reporting deadlines, and preparing journal entries to reflect accurate operational results.
Supervise the Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) teams.
Take ownership of the annual HBII report and provide support schedules for external audits and reviews.
Possess the authority to instruct financial planning and management at the plant level regarding treasury, lending, and taxation.
Exhibit a high level of expertise in managing financial matters within a manufacturing operation.
Demonstrate strong communication and reporting skills, effectively disseminating information to relevant stakeholders.
Develop and negotiate financial requirements with managers both within the organization and external parties.
Serve as the primary contact for all finance-related inquiries from internal and external customers.
Exhibit attention to detail and actively identify and implement process improvements, including technological enhancements.
Communicate effectively with Company Banking Partners, CPAs, and taxing authorities, understanding and addressing relevant issues.
Develop and implement financial policies and practices to enhance internal controls and asset management, managing the annual audit with external audit firms.
Timely reporting to taxing authorities, particularly related to Use Tax.
Support the requirements and maintain open communication with external CPA firms and stay informed about legislative or statutory changes affecting the organization.
Proactively engage and maintain positive relationships with both internal (facility and group) and external customers.
Manage and control all company assets and resources while implementing effective procedures to ensure compliance.
